Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103 Posted December 7, 2025 Posted December 7, 2025 FIFTY MISSIONS! OUTSTANDING! Twenty missions was the goal. My mentor, years ago, spoke of his Twenty Missions Cap, and the general don't-give-a-damn attitude of a twenty-missions pilot or crewman. FIFTY MISSIONS??? My profound respect, and my absolute admiration! 5 Quote
Seldom Seen #16162 Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 Did he survive the war? Since he was stationed at Ft. Thomas it would seem he earned his ticket home. Sis-in-Law found a picture our Father-in-Law standing on formation with the rest of his crew in front of their B-29 before taking off for a nighttime bombing mission over North Korea. He sure was young. 1 3 Quote
