Badges of the Old West makes some nice quality and not very expensive badges.  I have gotten a few from them, and more than a few of them are at least semi-customizable.

They are not very fancy, but they are pretty good.

Hmm. Interesting. The historic John Kloehr was made a sheriff (still researching details). Bookmarking to maybe have one made, a fun thing to order when I get snowed in over the winter.

Ron Bellamy over at Buffalo's Wild West does all sorts of badges with engraving. So you can get your club name, SASS alias, and number on the badges. And the cost is very reasonable, $30.00, with engraving and shipping included, according to his website.
