Widder, SASS #59054 Posted Wednesday at 06:22 AM Posted Wednesday at 06:22 AM I'm wanting to cut a slot in a metal rod. I've cut a slot before using my Dremel cutting wheel but the slot is just a little too wide. I'm wanting a THIN slot, just enough to slide a piece of sand paper thru it. Are there 'THIN' cutting wheels or tools that I can use for a thin slot?. ..........Widder Quote

Colorado Coffinmaker Posted Wednesday at 06:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:17 PM What kind of metal?? It is possible to file a Hacksaw "flat" which will create a fine slot, also great for fixing screw head slots. I have a separate "handle" for the job. I made my "flap" sander by chucking up a length of aluminum tubing (thick wall) and then slicing down the depth I wanted. I fold the Wet/Dry Back to back to make the actual "flap." 1 Quote

Rip Snorter Posted Wednesday at 07:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:47 PM There are very narrow blades for jewelers saws. A small frame saw. 1 Quote
