Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Due to a postal strike in 2024 in Canada, I and 99.999% of the card sending Canadians did not mail Christmas Cards. Many are deciding not to this year, while some are. Do you send Christmas Cards ?
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 I send a few, but not a lot. Maybe eight to ten a year, mostly to my kids and friends.
watab kid Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 NO - dont do that anymore - halmark got all our money they are going to get
Rye Miles #13621 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Haven’t sent out Christmas cards in years.
Calamity Kris Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 We're discussing it. Haven't arrived at a decision as of yet. A lot of that depends on how much time I have. That being said, we only send to close family and a few friends. Maybe about a dozen or so.
Chantry Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Yes, only for less than 10 people and I have enough cards for at least a couple of years. (Amazon)
Cypress Sun Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Nope, haven't sent Christmas cards out in many years.
Yul Lose Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Mrs. Lose sends out a Christmas letter and it gets shorter every year as does the mailing list.
Blackwater 53393 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 I, (we) sent cards to several of our friends for years and tried to get them to those who sent cards to us. Schoolmarm would tape them to the front door of the house and keep a list. The last few years, the number of cards has dwindled to just a couple and last year, for the first time, we didn’t send any cards. I have a short list of close friends that I call every Christmas week! A short conversation and good wishes exchanged over the speaker just seems so much more meaningful and uplifting!
Eyesa Horg Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Many of the cards we trade are with folks from our past. It's typically the only yearly update between us. We do drop off our list the ones we don't receive cards back from anymore. I kinda hate to see it go the way of Thank You Notes to which I hate asking "Did you get the gift I sent?"
Henry T Harrison Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 No it has gotten to expensive for this pensioner
WD Farren Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 My wife used to send and receive 100. This year is 30. Most people don’t want the expense or be arsed to send them.
Smokin Gator SASS #29736 Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 It seems like the only Christmas cards anymore are from families with updated photos of the kids.

Michigan Slim Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 I am not. My wife, however, is sending a bunch.

Texas Maverick Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Yeah, I am gonna have to consider whether she is worth it next year. LOL TM
WD Farren Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 My missus wants me to write a Christmas letter for inclusion with her cards. We have so much going on right now... but getting the document created, then getting X copies from the local copy shop is another time sink.
