Chas B. Wolfson, SASS #11104 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 (edited) looking at the potential purchase of an Uberti .357 rifle with an eighteen inch barrel. I load Annie's rifles with a .357 case, a 158gr bullet at 1.565". I do not plan adding another variable into the ammo mix so will not be loading a .38spl case so please do not suggest. Will ten rounds fit in the magazine tube? Google says yes but was curious if the real world here can answer. I know I can cut a 2" dowel, placing it first and then trying ten rounds in one of her shooters being they are 19.5" and 20" but thought I would ask here first. Thanks, Chas B Edited November 30, 2025 by Chas B. Wolfson, SASS #11104 Quote
Boggus Deal #64218 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Yes. 10 will fit in the 18” guns. 1 Quote
Cotton Eye Joe Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 I have the Texas Brush Popper model (Uberti 1873, 357mag, 18.5in half round half oct barrel). It fits the 10 357mags perfectly. It kinda fights me on the first round of 38spl if I load 11 rounds. Not something I ever really do. 1 Quote
Charles B. Gatewood SASS #48517 Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 (edited) I load .38 to 1.5" and 10 rounds will load in my 18" with no issues. This particular rifle is why I load that OAL, it's just picky where my others aren't. Hope this helps. Edited December 1, 2025 by Charles B. Gatewood SASS #48517 Quote
