Nostrum Damus SASS #110702 Posted November 24, 2025 Posted November 24, 2025 (edited) Will you be tired of winter by late January? Remember that winter in Magnolia Texas is like summer most everywhere else -- well, most of the time anyway! Join the Thunder River Renegades January 23-25, 2026 for our annual match Last Stand at Thunder River 2026 -- A Tribute to BLAZING SADDLES. Side matches, Couples Shoot and Mild/Wild Bunch are Friday afternoon, 5 stage Main Match on Saturday morning followed by lunch (BYO or $10 extra) and Side Match Awards, then on Sunday it is Cowboy Church, 5 more stages of Main Match fun, catered lunch (included) and the Main Match awards, and you're on your way home! Anyone concerned about driving across the currently 2-inch deep creek can contact us and we'll arrange to come get you from the other side. Registration (with schedule) and waiver forms are attached. We hope you'll shoot with us at TRR in early 2026! We’re hoping for temperatures in the 50s or 60s as LOWS! If we’re real lucky they might be lower. I’m always happy for a chance to wear my cold weather gear! Not much opportunity on the Texas gulf coast! Quote
Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 I just mailed my entry. Look forward to shooting there again. Will take photos this time and post them in my travel thread. Scout Quote
Tell Sackett SASS 18436 Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 C’mon people! How many annuals are there in January? Only 1 that I know of!! In that area it’s unlikely to get extremely cold. Odds are it will be quite nice! Give it a try! We can use some newcomers!! 1 Quote
