Suggestions on ways to store chaps/chinks besides folding up and putting on a shelf? I’m not only looking for the correct way, but also an efficient way. If you need to do something different for Woolies, that advice will be appreciated too. Thanks in advance.

When I want to pack my chaps for my Harley, I roll them.  Here is an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SaChxwbXDA

The process may need to be adapted for your cowboy chaps but it is a starting point.

I fold mine like a pair of jeans and put them on a shelf.  I don't know about woolies, never had a pair of those.

i never thought to ask this but appreciate the thread , ive been folding mine and putting them in my leather bag with holster rigs and boots and suspenders and duster - thats how they travel and get stored , might have to rethink this

Kinda depends on what type chaps you have.  I have a pair of shotgun chaps and hang them folded over a wooden dowel about the diameter of a closet rod (1" - 1-¼" ) to keep them from developing a kink where they hang.  My chinks (which I only use riding), are rolled up and re-rolled in the opposite direction every once in a while to keep from them from developing a "set".  (Rolled from the waist down so the "set" at the bottom doesn't end up in a permanent curl).  Never had "woolies" so I don't know how I'd store them... maybe from the belt with a "clamp" style pants hanger.
