TN Mongo, SASS #61450 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 I'm having a new 73 rifle tuned. I'm installing many Shotgun Boogie parts in it. I'm happy with the stock trigger in my current main match rifle and would like to purchase the Shotgun Boogie trigger that most closely resembles the shape and position of my current stock trigger. His #1 version seems to be a little reward and shorter in length than his version #2 the trigger. Which of these versions would be the most like my current stock trigger (in position and shape)? I thought I would ask you guys before I tried to contact him directly.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 I have both. The #2 sits a little further forward and feels more like the stock trigger.
Flinthills Dawg Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 I asked Boogie that very question and he told me to go with the #1 version as it is closer to factory position. YMMV.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Stock trigger on the left, Boogie #1 on the right. Draw your own conclusions.
Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903 Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 I use the #2 and I'm very happy with it. Randy
TN Mongo, SASS #61450 Posted November 19, 2025 Author Posted November 19, 2025 Did Boogie make a "flatter trigger" for awhile? I'm looking at what Larsen has pictured as a Boogie #1 trigger and the Boogie #1 trigger (as currently shown on his website) side by side and the #1 trigger on the website looks like it has a little more curve in it compared to what Larsen has pictured. I've tried someone else's flat trigger and hated it. If I dislike the Boogie trigger after installation, can the stock trigger be reinstalled and still work with the Boogie hammer kit?
Yohan Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 I think mine is a #2 you tried last weekend at TMM

Yes but it's unlikely you'll want to do that. When paired with his hammer system, Boogie's trigger can be adjusted to feel like a quality bolt-action rifle with a light and crisp let-off. The factory parts are capable of this as well but not without extra work.
SGT. ELI 35882 GUNFIGHTER Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 I have the #2 in all my rifles and all customers rifles. I also like the original discontinued #1 that is pictured in Larsen's photo, it sets the trigger farther back towards the back of lever (good for short fingers) The current #1 is shaped like stock uberti trigger
