Needle-Nose-Tom Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 (edited) I was wondering about grip tape on the butt of a 73. Don't really want a full leather cover. It would be cut out and stuck to the metal crescent back only. Legal? Or even gluing a strip of leather on? Edited November 17, 2025 by Needle-Nose-Tom
Boggus Deal #64218 Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Gluing a piece of leather on is legal. Grip tape, I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s legal. 1 1
Stump Water Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Negative. Chamois. No, not shamwow. The real stuff. 1
Blackwater 53393 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 You can remove the butt plate and wrap it with “roughout” leather. Then just screw the butt plate back onto the stock. It works really well and won’t come unstuck at an inopportune moment!! 1 1
