But, other than a tangential glance off the "Controversy" title,  I'm at sixes and sevens making any connection to stuffing v. dressing dispute. 

my family always stuffed the bird and we had stuffing , my wifes family was much larger , you cant get enough in the birds to feed the multitudes so the product is made in multiple large roasting pans , 

 

my families stuffing was somewhat bland , my wifes is wild rice , hot sausage , pepers , mushrooms as well as the seasoned stuffing base , its wonderful and almost a meal as leftovers - if there is any with added leftover turkey added
