Definitely one of the best "special effects" of the film! And I think it was better than Richard Boone in "The Last Dinosaur" of eight years later. 3 Quote
Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428 Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 Yup, that’s right. Always throw the empty rifle at the dinosaur when you run out of ammo….. that’ll stop him. 4 Quote
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 Hey... y'all gotta admit (IF you watched it!), this movie had one of the best - if not THE best - crowd-running- from-the-monster scenes of all time!! 4 Quote

Alpo Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 I liked that scene with the blonde in the laundromat where he hands her the AK and asks if she knows how to use one. And she chambered a round. Normally in a movie, when asked that question, the woman - and it's always a woman - will respond by firing the gun. This shows she knows how to use it. So just chambering around was, in my opinion, much more intelligent. What she should have done, was pulled the magazine, then check the chamber, then reloaded the gun. Tell me that she had some training - even if not on an AK. But still, it was better than firing a shot in the ground. Quote
