Alpo Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 I just saw a video. I didn't watch it. You just as I was looking at stuff on YouTube this came up. The nine secret functions of fingernail clippers. Think on that for just a moment. I invent a thing. It will not only trim your fingernails, but it will also file down the sharp edges left by the trimming. PLUS -- it will do nine other things. But I'm not going to tell anyone what those nine things are because - it's a secret. Why in the world would anyone do that? Quote

El Sobrante Kid Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 Because every time someone clicks on their link, they make money. Monetizing people's curiosity (or stupidity) is a big thing. Sort of reminds me of this; Huge accident, film at 11. Quote
Cyrus Cassidy #45437 Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 While I can't explain why someone would make a weird video, I can explain why it showed up in your feed -- the YouTube algorithm is designed to analyze your viewing habits and put things in your feed that you would be interested in. Based on your history of asking rather unique questions on this forum, I can only surmise that your YouTube history is equally as curious. So the algorithm has noticed it, too 1 Quote
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 The headline has little to do with the content. I’m betting they don’t actually discuss 9 secret things. It’s just clickbait to get people to watch and buy the product. Adding on, “secret” seems to be the latest clickbait buzzword on YouTube for cheesy content, which includes many of their documentaries. 1 Quote
