Down near where my home club is, there is a store known as Scott's Crossing General Store. It's a combination Gas Station, Convenance Store, Feed Store and Restaurant/Deli all in the same building.  Food is excellent and very reasonably priced so it it has become the go to place for lunch after our monthly match.

A while back I noticed that they were also selling locally made Mead.  Flavors included Blueberry, Cinnamon, Black Cherry, Wild Plum and Blackberry.  I splurged and bought a bottle each of the Cinnamon, Wild Plum and Blueberry.

Been a really really long time since I had any Mead. It was a home brew batch and nothing about it sticks out in my memory.

What say the Saloon experts on the best way to serve it? Room Temperature, Chilled, or Ice Cold?

I prefer it chilled.  Ice cold and you can't really taste the subtle flavors. Room temperature drinks of any sort,  other than a quick sip of water,  don't seem to be pleasant or refreshing for me.

But,  heat it, add some spices and wassale away!

The Plum and Cherry sound delightful. Bet they would do well for soaking a fruitcake.

There's a place on Gurley Ave in downtown Prescott that specializes in mead.  I've never been there, but my daughter and SIL go there and stock up every time they come to visit.  Then they "boot leg" it back to North Carolina.  :D

Chilled is nice if it is listed as a ‘sweet or semi sweet’ mead. Room temp if listed as ‘dry’.
Even if dry, back sweeten in the glass with a drop of honey….you will be amazed.
Mead is super easy to make; picked it up as a hobby after retirement. .

Whilst stationed in Europe and the UK, went on several Castle Tours that included period meals and Meade.  I sampled but must admit to being underwhelmed.  Not exactly my cuppa Grog.

Not a drinker but I would like to try some just for curiosity's sake.

There is a meadery in Flagstaff that I've been to that is a fun place to hang out.

I'm not a huge fan of mead, personally.

I was poured a sample in Flagstaff (or was it Prescott?), but didn’t like it enough to order a full measure.
