State Supreme Court, not SCOTUS.

 

This particular case only challenges the law under the Oregon state constitution, it is not a 2nd Amendment (Federal) suit. There are other suits in federal court challenging this law which do make claims under the US constitution.

 

Whatever the outcome of this case is, it is final under state law; neither side can appeal to the US Supreme Court. A loss to firearm's owners in this case will not stop the other cases in Federal court, I am not sure if a win might moot the other cases.

 

Arguments 11/6, ruling whenever. A ruling might not actually decide it, the state court could send it back to the district court for more deliberation with additional guidance.
