One of the best games I’ve seen, 18 innings Dodgers win with a walk off homer by Freddie Freeman!

I kept falling asleep and waking up! Got to see the walk off though!

Hard fough 6 hours, 39 minutes!

Only 2 Series games have gone 18 innings.   Both were a game 3 and both in Los Angeles

Ohtani is an amazing player, he's pitching tonight! Our era's Babe Ruth and maybe better than the Babe. Time will tell that!

I quit at Midnight, as they were going into the top of the 16th! Can't imagine what time they actually quit! Ohtani will not get to bat again in this series. The Jays will IW him every time he is up! Problem for the Jays is you can't walk the guys following him. And they are actually going to play again tonight? I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Wonder how many position players on each team can pitch...just in case they run out of bullpen.

I hate the Dawyers (that’s how most people pronounce it out here) but they know how to win and in all likelihood will hang another World Series banner at Dodgers Stadium. Ohtani is the best player MLB has ever seen, in my opinion. I hope the Blue Jays prove me wrong about the series outcome but I doubt they will.

From what I hear on sports talk radio he is the starting pitcher and DH.

Per AI

Yes, Shohei Ohtani will be at bat tonight, October 28, 2025, in Game 4 of the World Series. He is scheduled to start the game as the pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

However, due to his historic offensive performance in Game 3, it is highly likely that the opposing team, the Toronto Blue Jays, will intentionally walk him for much of the game.

They’d be crazy not to walk him.

19 combined bass tossers?  Did they send the short stop out to pitch?

The Dodgers have pitched Kike (Enrique) Hernandez, an outfielder before. His name was on the pitching roster late in the game last night.

Heck,  YAMAMOTO was starting to warm up in the 17th. Just 2 days after his complete game.

Yesavage pitched a great game last night. He set and/or matched a couple of records for a rookie pitcher in the World Series. Jays came to play ball while the Dodgers were lackluster and the got to Snail early...real early...like first and third pitch early and their relievers didn't help the situation in the least.

Friday will feature Yamamoto of the Dodgers and Gausman for the Jays. Yamamoto has been lights out with two complete games while Gausman has been so-so and makes it until about the 6th. Gausman must step it up for the Jays to win Friday and the Dodger's bats will have to wake up for them to even it up.

Hope the Jays take the pennant on Friday.

Go Jays!

It's hard to go against the California team,  but it's the DODGERS!  Just can't root for them except against the Yankees .

I was raised in North San Diego County, and I've lived just North of San Francisco for 40 years.  So, long time Padres fan, and about 5 or 6 years ago came to realize that I'm also a Giants fan. Dodgers just don't fit in.

Cause they are always a problem for the Rockies (but then who isn't?).  Yeah, the Admiral's great-grand-nephew will start game 6 in Toronto!  Dante's boy, Bo, needs to figure out Yamato's pitching! (Dante Bichette was an outstanding player for the Rockies when they could play baseball.)

It’s a NY - Brooklyn rivalry that moved out west when the teams made it to SF and LA.

I attended my first Giants game in the late 60’s so, I’m a fan of only two teams in MLB.  The SF GIANTS and anyone beating the Dodgers.

Ironically, two of my fave spots in the world are in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.

I realize that this question was intended for SDJ but I'll answer for myself also.

I don't hate the Dodgers in the least. I actually like several players in the organization....Betts, Freeman, Ohtani and a couple others. I don't like Snail (Snell),  Glasjaw (Glasnow), Banda or Friedman (President). Didn't like them when they were with the Rays, don't like them now.

I'm also not a big fan of any sports team(s) that try to "buy" championships instead of earning them. IMO, that's what the Dodgers and some other teams, in MLB/other sports, try to do. Although the Jays are sort of near the top in spending, their spending is considerably lower than the Dodgers. The Jays are also the big underdog in the Series and I almost always root for the underdog.

The Jays are also a AL East team that put the Yankees into a position of having to fight it out as a Wild Card team...that gets them the edge in my rooting book.

When there are only two choices, you gotta choose one or the other...I'm going with the Jays.

Go Jays

I lived in LA for about a year and visited a year before. My cousin who was my best friend moved out there and became a Dodgers fan. I went to two games at dodger stadium, even had a Dodger dog.my cousin passed away 10 years ago. I became a Dodgers fan because of him mainly but I like the team. Ohtahi, Yamamoto, Freeman, Mookie Betts lots of good players. As far as the money teams spend I have no control over that and it’s not the players fault. BTW I am a die hard Indians/Guardians fan but they’re not in it. So GO DODGERS🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have no problem with players getting all they can bargain for in salary. I just believe that there should be a salary cap that ALL teams are REQUIRED to adhere to. No paying a so-called "Luxury Tax", which is a joke, for exceeding the salary cap. Set the limit and that's it, no spending over the cap...period.

I agree, there’s a salary cap in the NBA and NFL. There should be one in MLB as well. The Indians/Guardians are a small market team they only have so much dough to work with!
