End of Trail 2026 SASS World Championship

Howdy All,

 

EOT still has openings available, but categories will start being collapsed in early November as per SASS rules. All of the base categories are protected and will be honored. The age divisions of the shooting style/costume/propellant categories must meet the SASS minimums of 10 in the Open categories and 5 in the Ladies categories or they are collapsed into the next younger category until the minimum is met. To make sure that your first choice remains active, get your application in today. You can register at EndofTrail.org.

 

Anyone in a collapsed category is given the option of being collapsed, picking a new category that is protected or has met the minimum, or a refund.

 

Also, watch for information coming soon on your questions about changes to this year's stage writing. Sunshine Kay is preparing an email to all of last year's shooters. It will also be posted on the Wire and FaceBook.

Ok, keep in mind that this list is a couple days old, and I can't go risking my life by asking Sunshine Kay too often....

 

Needing 1 or 2 more for the minimum

Due to a large influx of applications, we will not be collapsing categories until the end of next week. There is still time to get your application in.

 

If you DON"T hear from Sunshine Kay in the coming weeks it means that your chosen category WILL be honored. Those affected by collapsing will be given the option to move to the next category down in age, change categories to one that is honored, or a refund.

Awards in the quantity that we need have to be ordered by the middle of November in order to assure delivery prior to the match. Since the awards are personalized to the category and place, we need to know how many categories we will have by then.

We have waited about as long as we can, we're up against a hard deadline to get awards ordered in time for February delivery.

 

It is almost time to collapse categories and Sunshine Kay will be contacting the affected shooters directly. But if you know of a friend that hasn't registered yet but intends to, please encourage them to do it NOW. The following categories WILL be honored at this time. There are enough registered shooters in the categories per SASS rules to honor them in the World Championships. But if we get more in other categories prior to the collapsing this coming weekend, others may become honored, as well.

Adding this to the pinned post in case the other one slowly sinks in the west:

 

A lot of our feedback about End of Trail 2025 centered around the stages and stage writing. We listened to what you had to say and took a whole new approach to our stages for 2026. We also wanted to demonstrate our commitment to making our stages and stage writing more shooter friendly, so we have decided to give everybody a sneak peek.
