[Billy Boots, # 20282 LTG-Regulator]

Sassy's grandson was needing old hat for dress-up day at school and she finds this old straw of mine hanging in garage.  It is from my very early years in SASS.  It had a pin in it for SUDDS.  I do not remember getting it but seems I was a member of SOCIETY OF UNIQUE DOUBLE DUELIST SHOOTISTS.  Got to go back couple decades considering shooting double duelist not to unique any more.

Hat also had a pin in it made from a recovered slug of probably 45 or 50 caliber rifle.  If I am not mistaken that was given to me by shooter named Riphawk who passed many years ago.  Those who shot in this four state region years ago might remember Rip.  I believe he was from Arkansas.

Dern guess I must be getting old. Surely one of the other 281 is still shooting.  Heck, the likes of Rye, Dave, Scout, Doc, Mad Dog, Randy, Larsen, and Abilene just ain't  admitting they been doing this that long.  Now NonStop didn't have much interest in duelist back in them days but he was late getting it figured out that "duelist was coolest".

Heck, Widder may even have a SUDDS pin laying around.

I've been shooting Duelist style since 2004.  Tried to shoot double duelist for about a 1-1/2 years but gave up as my left hand is just too dumb.  I have not seen that pin before but it is pretty cool.

Shot double duelist since at least 2000.  The past year or so my left thumb does not always work so I have had to switch to a cross-draw and shoot regular duelist.  Once my right thumb quits I will just be a spectator.

Well, I used to shoot GF a lot and occasionally still, but have never shot duelist.  So I may not be coolest, but my memory ain't failing like some old guys I know .

I hate duelist.  Gunfighter even moreso.  But... I love cap & ball revolvers.  And a challenge.  The last few months... er... matches I've shot in I've shot my '51 Navies two-handed.  Very marginally faster than when shooting duelist.  Several years ago, Billy Boots challenged me to shoot an entire match as if I 'wanted to win".  So far, it isn't working.  .

I can only shoot double dualist when using 4.5 inch singlesix  .32 hrms.  All my other 5.5 7.5 inchers are to heavy to hold up unless I stick my elbows on my chest. So 90% of time it is two handed.

I have shot double duelist since I started this game.   So that would be for almost 20 years.  Now that I read this thread, I realize that it is not very common.  Most duelists do seem to shoot both pistols with the same hand, either via the twist or drawing and transferring.

I still wear one of those SUDDS pins on my vest even though I've went back to shooting duelist rather than double duelist.  Too many misses with left hand & eye combo.  I don't remember who it was that provided the pins.  Couldn't tell you my number without looking at the pin but I see it in my signature line - 190.

Billy, Your not getting old, You Are Old! Always a great day when I see you my friend. Been shooting Classic Cowboy, then transitioned to Duelist and for the last number of years, Double Duelist, SUDDS!

Fantastic, McDuff admits to having a pin.  And, number below mine.  Got to be catching up in age to Turquoise Bill and I.  Well, maybe not me.
