Are you running out to buy a glock before the rumored change?   Wouldn't it be ironic if Glock changed the design a month before the tax stamp price drops to zero?

"GLOCK is set to discontinue a large portion of its pistol models after November 30, 2025, with only the GLOCK 43, 43X, and 48X remaining in production. The discontinued models will be replaced by new "V Models" designed to prevent conversion to automatic fire, although this information is not yet officially confirmed by GLOCK."

Well certainly everybody is going to run out and buy a new Glock.

When the rumor was that AR-15s were going to be made illegal everybody went out and bought an AR-15. Because they needed to get one before they couldn't get one anymore.

So you need to get a Glock before you can't get the lock anymore.

Unless, of course, like me you don't want an AR-15 or a Glock. In which case - who cares.

Life is to short to own ugly guns !

And a Glock is  a Fugly Gun.

I would rather die and pass my SAA Colt down to my Grandson .

Then live 100 more years with only shooting and owning a Ugly ass glock 😳

There are plenty of Glock clones out there that people will be building gen 1-3 Glock clones for a long time.  You can build a complete gun without any glock parts, so why will this matter.

It matters because Glock is the one facing the lawsuits with no protection from PLCCA.  Glock is not encouraging nor selling these switches yet they received the majority of the burden.

Tried a couple Glocks and they just don’t feel right in my hand. I got a Canik and a CZ 9mm. They’re both great!

I have several Glocks, all gen 5s. After shooting all gens over the decades I settled on the gen 5 with its changes. Great shooter, zero maintenance issues with 10s of thousands of rounds fired. No, not an attractive gun but it ain't supposed to be. Colt covers that. 😀

Don't need another but I sure wouldn't turn down a few free ones.

I've tried some of the other Glock wannabe polymer guns and they just don't quite cut it for me.

I could probably be talked into a gen 5 model 20 however. I can see a practicality with that one although a Smith 1006 would get my $ quicker.

I went through my Glock Phase where everyone seemed to be recommending them and most Police Departments were issuing them. I never really liked the feel of the grip and could not get used to the crappy trigger.

I now have 1 Glock in my collection, a Gen 4 32 chambered in .357 Sig. I have an extra .40 barrel and a 9mm conversion barrel for it. I could not tell you the last time I have even taken it out of the safe, much less fired it.

I carry a CZ P-10S, the gun Glock wished they had built. ;) If I want a Glock, I'll go to the Armory and check one out, qualified Expert or Distinguished Espert with either a 19 or 17 for the last 23 years, just don't really like 'em much.

Plastic pistols just don't fit my idea of a great gun.

I keep looking for the little blue plug on the rear end to put water in in those "squirt guns".

Blue or nickel, wood, ivory, or stag and leather to carry it in.

I've owned 4 different Glocks over the years. Never had a problem with any of them. Still have a Glock 21 in 45 ACP. But I also have S&W, Sig, Springfield, Beretta etc.

When ya'll want to give your Glocks away, let me know. That way I can give you the FFL's address that I deal with to send them to or, if you're in Florida, I can meet up with you for the Great Glock Giveaway! I'll give your ugly Glock a good home.

If there is a run on Glock it will be cause Glock is discontinuing every model except the slimline guns by November 30th,

and introducing a new V series that cannot accept a Glock switch.

If the discontinue everything as of Nov 30 this year, how long do you think all those pretty Glocks they already have made are going to last?  Since Glock is very popular, I would imagine there are warehouses full of stock waiting to be sold.

This also brings some states (like CA) where the newer Glocks are not allowed, so they are still selling the 3rd model here.  If they discontinue, I wonder if Glock will be doing the testing on the new models in order to be able to sell here, or if they are just going to write off sales in CA?  No politics, just a genuine question.

Glock will probably pay for the testing, given that california is a big part of why they did this redesign.

I dont know about that.  They refused to get any of the newer gen guns certified for CA, and none of the new models can be sold here.  Not sure if it was "refused" or if the newer generations simply were not by design capable of being certified for CA.  (there I times I really hate this state, mostly politics based).

Glocks are ugly but they work every time.  Super reliable and easy to maintain and repair.  I've never had to repair a Glock but you can completely disassemble one with a punch and 15 minutes of training.  I have 5 of them.

I have no problem of owning a Glock...Or for anyone else owning one....Myself, it just does not fit hand right....There are better things I prefer because of the fit...If they fit, I would own more of them....

Glock has so many government, military and LE contracts for handguns, they probably cannot keep up.  What this might mean is only gov, LE, military will have Glock switches too lol.  Who cares.

The way I look at it is they are pulling a Smith and Wesson like on the public.  Their marketing manager must just be the last one from Bud Light.  Dumb move Glock!

I'm certainly not offended by the idea, I just don't want one. They don't fit my hand and I hate the trigger. That being said, if a SHTF situation came up and that's all I had I'd certainly use it.

My best friend is a retired Tucson Cop. He still has his issue Glock. Every time we go shooting he offers to let me shoot it, knowing that I don't like them. I always politely refuse because I just don't like them.

They used to fit my hands, but after my last bike crash and me floppin’ along the freeway I bruised up my my hands a bit and ever since I couldn’t shoot my Glocks with anywhere near the accuracy I had before the accident. Funny thing is I shoot my Ruger RXM just fine. It’s basically a Glock clone.
I sold off all my Glocks. I have no intention of buying any more. Especially after this BS move.
