According to the Mayan calendar the world came to and end on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2012.....and I missed it.

You didn't miss it, you slept through it. And you slept so long that the world circled back around and started over.

Can't be.  I haven't slept more than three or four hours a night in fifteen years.

At the time, my 20-something son was concerned that the "advanced" Mayans may have known the future and the world really was coming to an end. I asked him how advanced a civilization could be that didn't invent the wheel, when all they needed was two of their calendars and an axle to make a cart.

We had a sign, when Twinkies went out of production right before "the end"...but fortunately for us the Mayans just ran out of stone to carve on.

You mean like most other leftist political / pseudo-religious / flat-Earther / and "I know what's best for all the little people" rich folks who get control of things and make them go down...and down...and down..................and down?

Our local hardware store had a kerosine lantern set out with a big sign above it:
"Y2K Compliant!"
I understand they sold quite a few!

every day is a MONDAY

I'm almost 84 years old, been retired for about a quarter of a century and if it weren't for medical appointments and lunch dates with friends I wouldn't give a tinker's dam (and yes I did spell that right) what day it is.

They weren’t, as the date seems to have been miscalculated!!  And it also appears they weren’t around before the Egyptians!  Finally a civilization that come up with the concept of the number zero isn’t full of shit although until the Spanish came over and other Europeans their eyes are brown!!  Don’t mind me, I am just married to an 87% Mayan Indian Princess for 32 years been to Guatemala and have never seen a people who work harder with their work ethic!!  Any country who can continuously pick themselves up after devastating earthquakes and volcanic eruptions killing thousands isn’t full of shit!!  So the end still be near, we can only hope that the gringos who tried to translate and do the calculations will do a better job.

Nimble Fingers

a lover of Mayans!!
