Agree that the Marlin Cowboy in 45-70 kicks like a mule but it's been my experience the Marlin GBL, SBL and Trapper in 45-70 are quite comfortable to shoot. I love them all. 😀 Quote
Joe LaFives #5481 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 A 300 grain bullet in the Marlin isn't bad and is well suited for the Long Range Lever Action category which tends to be in the 100-300 yd range. The Single Shot categories require a heavier bullet. 6 Quote
