Subdeacon Joe Posted October 9 Posted October 9 One heckuv an exciting game! The Jays seemed to be trying to lose it in the 8th and 9th innings. Some fantastic catches by various member of the Yankees. Some of the other games were pretty good, too. 1 Quote
Cypress Sun Posted October 9 Posted October 9 The Blue Jays are tough this year. They have a talented group of players, especially Vlad, Kirk, Springer and (injured) Bichette. I hope they make it to the Series. Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 There’ve been some entertaining games this season! My team has been eliminated, but I enjoy a good game anyway! (so long as the Asstros don’t win) 3 Quote

Cypress Sun Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Personally, I'd like to see a Blue Jay/Dodger match up. I think it'd b e a good Series 1 Quote

He was let off the hook like the rest of the cheaters!! They should have all been banned and the Series Championship vacated! It WAS PROVEN that they cheated!! If he wasn’t in on it, he certainly knew about it and that makes him complicit. 2 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 🤣 Too bad the Dodgers and Phillies can’t both go out this round!! 🤣 Quote

Rye Miles #13621 Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 The Dodgers are my second team, long story it goes back to me living in LA for awhile with my cousin for not quite a year. Went to 2 games at Dodger stadium. My cousin was an Indians fan but when he moved to Cal. He became a Dodgers fan. He’s passed away but I know he would have loved to see Ohtani play. I do, he’s our era’s Babe Ruth. 2 Quote
DeaconKC Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Dodgers just beat the Phillies, so they are moving on. 1 Quote

H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Anybody but the Yankees! But then again, the Red Sox are already out of it, so I no longer care about baseball this year. Can you guess where I am from? (Go Pats!) 1 1 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted October 10 Posted October 10 There might not even BE any baseball if it weren’t for the Yankees!! You may not like to admit it, but it’s true! I despise the Dodgers and the Braves. If it weren’t for the Asstros, those two would be at the bottom of the dregs followed closely by the Cardinals and Red Sox! Been a Mets fan since 1962!! Went to the Polo Grounds as a nine year old and watched the the tragic comedy that was an expansion team! I won a bunch of money and straight As in psychology in 1969, betting with classmates and with my psych teacher! The Phillies are done! Eh! Don’t care much for the Cubs, although Swanson was a star at Vandy, which is my favorite college team. I don’t have a favored team left in the playoffs, but there ARE a couple of teams that I’d like to see out!! The Doggers are number one! Hinch spoils the Tigers for me! I reckon the rest of ‘em wouldn’t make me mad. Quote

They have added some great players to the game though! Edited October 10 by Rye Miles #13621 Quote

The Indians would always wind up second or third. It was a the Yankees, Red Sox and Indians in the late 50’s and 60’s. I don’t doubt they’re a powerhouse of a team, have been for a long time. My point was that if there wasn’t ever any Yankees there would have been other teams that would have stepped up and had all those great players as well. The game of baseball is stronger than any one team. 1 Quote
