Did something change in the appearance of the Wire?

Not sure if the Wire changed or my iPhone changed it, but the screen appears different to me. 
 

Anyone else?

Also, the Wire takes a long time to open and change from one page or thread to the next. It seems it is taking a long time parsing the links.

Have you tried powering off your phone or IPad and let it reset itself? I do that a couple times a week.

I just did that yesterday. The Wire looked okay afterwards.

Mine seems to be the same as usual on Android. On the index page near the top see if clicked on "condensed" or "expanded". You may have accidentally changed it from what you normally use. I use expanded.

I haven’t had an update recently, but who knows. Maybe they did do something.

I think I know what’s wrong. I am seeing an admin watch screen. Someone’s keeping an eye on me and soon they’re gonna pull the plug on me for too many memes and such.

I think you’re right. The Saloon is much slower to enter and to open and close threads. Probably due to the huge threads like the meme thread. 
Why a forum needs to parse an individual thread is outside my mind box.

I reported my last post above. I have a feeling the Meme thread and other threads with large data use may be the cause of the slowness. 
If the meme thread disappears it’s because I reported my thread above. That thread is nearly 1000 pages full of high memory use photos as memes.

The main "new activity" page is a bit bloated. For instance, the entirety of any most recent post in a thread gets downloaded even though only a snippet gets shown. Large images are downloaded even though only a thumbnail is shown. Still, it loads well for me.

 

My download speed on a fiber connection is 200 Mbps which is somewhat fast compared to many carrier offerings. This does help speed.

 

Invision is not the most responsive forum software from a performance standpoint, but I'm not seeing an actual problem on my computer or phone.

I do not know how to change default magnification on the iPhone, but on my laptop I can use Command + or Command - to zoom in and out. At some step size, this does change the look.

Now I feel like a complete idiot. 
I was going to try and use Mematic to combine some images to show the problem. 
I decided to search my photos to see if I had a screenshot of the Saloon to shop how it should look versus what I see now. 
I found this:

 

In February of ‘23 I accidentally clicked that little button on my iPhone and caused my screen to go wonky…like I was just complaining about. 
As soon as ai saw that image I remembered that incident clearly. I had forgotten about it. 
 

So, now everything is back to normal and I am going to go bang my head on something…or that might make things worse. Never mind.

There is another major Invision update coming soon.  I don't know if that will change how things look or feel.  I'm looking in their community forum to see if there's a preview.  

I've often wondered if we need to truncate some of the very long threads, over 1000 pages, to just a 100 pages or so.  

Things may load faster.   

Does anyone see a problem with pruning Wordy Words 1 or 2, or the meme thread?

I'm new to the forum, I recently went through the GOFWG thread to figure out what GOFWG meant.  I haven't done that with Wordy Words yet, but I plan to.  I can't contribute if I don't know the rules.  Also, not that we don't get repeats on the Memes forum, but if you hide all but the last 100 pages we might get more.

No issue with trimming the meme thread. We can always make new ones, if that is not a problem.

To your benefit however, on your pic it just showed the little icons, on mine they are labeled condensed and expanded. About once year I must accidentally hit one and change it!!! Took longer than you to figure out the first time.

My Android phone updates regularly,sometimes a couple of times a week.

Occasionally it changes the appearance of things on this site.

I recently found that in Settings, under accessibility,  I can adjust the screen and font size back to my preference.

It seems that 125% seems to work best.

Of course, YMMV.
