I think Mammoth only has a 2 or 3 month "no snow" season.  I was camping there one year first weekend of July (in a tent) and we woke up to a couple inches of snow.

No snow but central Arizona had ice at least, on my drive, sidewalk, and deck yesterday morning.  Today it's about 70 degrees with light clouds.

Mammoth, where the skiers are disappointed if there isn't 20' of base snow to ski on.

Wasting a trip to Mammoth in the winter to ski is a crime.  Summer is the way.  7 lakes in walking distance, beautiful scenery, a short distance to Yosemite, Mono Lake, Devils Postpile and other fantastic spots.  And the massive skier crowds are not there.  Even if you want to stay in town in of the many hotels, it is the offseason, so costs are down.

Pretty nice here in Reykjavik Iceland. Days here in the low 50’s and overnight down to 40’ish. Still adjusting to the roughly six hours of rain in the day, slightly more in the late night to early mornings!
