T-Square Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) I still have a few ROAs - if you didn't get your pair at Land Run. All these ROA have been fully tuned by Goon Gunworks; lowered hammers, lighter hammer and trigger springs, action stops, and more. There are no smoother guns, and you won't have to wait more than a year to tune a stock flea market find. Ruger Old Army 7 1/2 inch barrel Blue $1,000 each ($2,000 for the pair) Ruger Old Army 7 1/2 inch barrel Stainless $$1,500 each ($3,000 for the pair) Ruger Old Army 5 1/2 inch barrel Stainless $2,000 each ($4,000 for the pair) Edited October 13 by T-Square More available / update after Land Run 5 Quote
Ambush Andy Posted September 30 Posted September 30 oh my word t-square.. if I wasn't so hung up on 1860s I'd be all over these! 1 Quote
T-Square Posted September 30 Author Posted September 30 (edited) Thanks @Ambush Andy I'm needing to make room in the safe for some Ruger's in 44-40 so I can shoot Classic Cowboys with some friends. And I should be paring back because these all these guns wont fit in my RV - and I'm getting that RV in the New Year ! I'm going to bring another pair of 7 1/2 s to shoot the warm-ups with. They make more fire and smoke and are exciting to shoot. Edited September 30 by T-Square 1 Quote
Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) Hey all the photos appear to show 7-1/2” barrels. Thought you showed the 5-1/2” one earlier. Just letting you know. Edited October 1 by Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L 1 1 Quote

Yul Lose Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Man, if I didn’t already have 3 pairs of Old Armies I’d be all over those bottom ones. Nice guns. 1 Quote
T-Square Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 Thanks @Yul Lose Yes, I give the credit to Mike Brackett (Goon Gunworks). I have too many ROAs to fit in my RV, so I'm hoping we can get more people interest in the Black Powder magic ! I've sold a few pairs since I made this post, and I will bring at least these three pairs with me to Land Run. 1 Quote
Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Oh come on, T-Square, the title says "...to a GOOD Home" - but you don't care, as long as they have cash, right? Although I don't like Rugers strictly because I prefer authenticity, everybody knows that the ROA is the most competitive gun for Frontiersman. But if somebody is new to cap guns they may not know of Goon's reputation, nor how much you had to pay to get them done! 1 Quote
T-Square Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 (edited) Mostly True @Abilene, SASS # 27489. I do hope that the Cowboy or Cowgirl, with the green cash, will race these guns and we draw more people to the Frontiersman catagory. If they are just going to sit around, they look really good in my safe - but they all will not won't fit in my RV. Agreed, Goon is an expert, and tuning the Ferrari of race guns isnt cheap. I've even had to have custom hammers made because Ruger's not making the kind of hammers we need to lower the thumbs. AND THEY ALL RUN LIKE A DREAM ! How many can I put you down for? a match pair and a back-up pair? LOL PS - I love your Youtube channel. Its great fun to watch. Edited October 3 by T-Square 3 Quote
Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Great pictures! Too bad Captain Baylor is slowing down or he might pick up some. My only cap guns are the '58's I won, and I have thus far only shot them with conversion cylinders which is fun, but I'll eventually try them percussion. I'm in no rush though. I'm lazy and like cartridges. I think all Rugers are abominations since they are modern and have some inherent advantages. But they're legal and I'm fine with that, I just don't need any. I owned a Vaquero when I started, but it was paired with a Colt and the Colt won. Quote
Rooster Ron Wayne Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Rugers are great modern Cap Guns. Im personally a Colt Opentop Man. I have owned Rugers in the past and they are most excellent and Now Expensive Cap Guns . I used to buy them for 10% of the price they go for these days. This is some of my Cap Guns. 2 Quote
