Alpo Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I read, some years back, that Ken Berry had problems with the romance going on between Wilbur and Wrangler Jane. Because she was so young. He didn't know she was underage, but he thought she was 18. He was 33 when the show started. Quote
watab kid Posted September 23 Posted September 23 she was a cutie - i see that attraction , i remember rickles role - that was what made me like him , he had a rather nasty comedic persona that i had not warmed to till i saw him in this part , after that i appreciated him , i dont remember the game as i was in high school then college in the late 60s , i do remember the fugarwee controversy and at the time thought it was a sales thing save for the fact that i didnt understands the censorship of the times , it obviously found its way into my growing up , the playboys club takeoff ws not lost but not overly recognized at that time for me there were other things that made bigger impressions , but i remember it as well as the similarities to other comedies with other genera , but this one had its era defined and they did a good job of it Quote
