Used to was that you could open Facebook stuff even if you weren't logged in and you could open Instagram stuff even if you weren't logged in.

 

Then two or three months ago it stopped allowing it.

 

It was frustrating for about a month, because I would keep trying to get in and it wouldn't let me.

 

Now I see a link that says Facebook or Instagram, and I just back out of the thread. No longer even try.

I'm not an Instagram member and I can see most of them. After it comes up, click on "continue on web" in upper right corner. Then tap once for sound!

Gotta say, I really don't understand the aversion, bordering on paranoia, so many have about the various social media platforms.

My "aversion" is having to log in, having any more stupid passwords, getting on any more lists of any kind, and having everyone think I want to get any more advertising.

 

It has nothing to do with "paranoia" which is an unwarranted FEAR of something.  There is damn near nothing left in this world that I fear, but I am easily annoyed.

 

It falls under the same thing as having to listen to totally inappropriate music that is generally too loud, and the crap that some people think is music everywhere I go.  Tons per year of unwanted garbage mail, spam calls and emails, people sticking all manner of printed mail on my front door, and people who ignore the sign on my house that plainly states not to disturb me or leave anything at my door that I didn't order.  It is the same as someone  trying to be subtle when they make comments without understanding what nor who I am.

 

It's all a subtle form of attempts to control people even in the least intrusive way possible because when it's everywhere IT IS NO LONGER UNOBTRUSIVE!

 

Being on a forum like the SASS Wire is something that I CHOSE to use.  Don't bother me with some "come along" title and then expect me to let it go.

I don't log in as I can't being I'm not a member. Just click the link and watch! As I said above, then click on open on web. Similar for FB, most just click the X to get rid of the login screen. Look for the speaker for sound. Some will only let you watch them once however.
