Big things coming to 2026 Spring Round Up!!

2026 Spring Round Up will be held May 7th, 8th and 9th in Evansville Indiana. An exciting addition for this year, we will be hosting a "dual match".   We will have the same Spring Round Up that you all have enjoyed for the past 6 years and we will be adding "Smoke and Fury at Spring Round UP" the 2026 Indiana Black Powder State Championship!  We will all shoot the same fast and fun stages.  The smokeless shooters will compete in Spring Round Up and the black powder shooters will compete in Smoke and Fury.  We will also be adding some exciting side matches!   We hope that this year will be bigger and better than ever!!  Application and more details to come soon!

JUST DO IT!! It’s the MOST fun you’ll have shooting!! 🥰 Don’t delay! Let me know if I can be of help getting you hooked! I shoot/sell APP BP sub. I shoot FCGF all the time. Don’t know when I last shot smokeless even at a monthly match. The smoky stuff if just too fun. Besides… we have cookies!

Can I still use the components I currently use for 38? I shoot your 105 grn bullets and use Federal small pistol magnum primers. If it's as simple as just putting APP in my press then I'm in. I'll just need to figure out how to get set up to load for shotgun. And is FC Duelist a thing? 😁

You can use ordinary cast bullets lubed for smokeless powder.  However, shoot some of your ammo through your revolvers and find out how many stages you can shoot before fouling binds the cylinders from turning.  You don't want to learn this at a major match.  APP fouling is pretty forgiving.  Also, degrease your guns and lube with a BP-compatible lube.  Regarding shotgun shells, a local Soot Lord will probably let you load some shells on his equipment.

 

My wife loves APP.  The recoil is modest, and the smoke does not stink like real black powder smoke or smoke from other BP subs.  Wash your brass soon after firing APP.  It will attack brass.

It's as simple as putting your large powder bar in, making sure there's enough powder dispensed, and placing the same bullet.

 

Yes there is FCD.

 

All I do is spray the gun down with ballistol and wipe it down every 3-4 stages.  There is nowhere near enough fouling to shut the gun down even after 5 stages.
