I thought the Land of 10,000 Lakes was the place with the little soft drinks --- mini-soda.

For clarification, only bodies of water larger than 10 acre feet are counted.

Texas Almanac, Lakes and Rivers

As late as 1913, Texas had only four major reservoirs with a total storage capacity of 288,340 acre-feet. By January 2012, Texas had 188 major reservoirs (those with a normal capacity of 5,000 acre-feet or larger), not counting four that are normally dry and six reservoirs made up of proximate impoundments.

BTW There have been a few more reservoirs built since 2012

According to the U.S. Statistical Abstract of 2010, Texas has 5,607 square miles of inland water, ranking it first in the 48 contiguous states, followed by Florida, with 5,373 sq. mi.; Minnesota, 4,782; and Louisiana, 4,433.

There are about 6,976 reservoirs in Texas with a normal storage capacity of 10 acre-feet or larger.

Minnesota: Land of How Many Lakes?

The MNDNR database suggests that Minnesota has 14,380 lakes if you count lakes that cross the U.S. – Canada border and do not count a few lakes that are mostly in other states. And did not count waterbodies under 10 acres.

The overall winner hands down is Alaska

I'm pretty sure that at one point in that video he referred to himself as a Texan.

Last I heard, that was a capital offense - somebody that wasn't born there calling themselves a Texan. I believe the exact punishment is "being dragged to death behind a pickup truck".
