Of all the utter goofiness in John Wick 4...

The "speed loading" of the "Tracker" Marlin 1894 take down got me rolling. It's a "blink and you miss it" scene, but in one short scene Mr. Nobody is taking cover between doors and DROPS a couple of rounds into the magazine. No loading gate, I guess...

Between all the crazy stunt driving, Kevlar clothing that sparks when "hit", suit coats that stop rifle bullets without even moving, magazines that hold 10,000 rounds, etc, THAT was the moment I remember. Stupid, isn't it?

On the other hand, it was a fun movie to watch, after suspending disbelief. Yes, it took me this long to watch it. And I did love the tribute to The Warriors in the run to the final dueling scene. 

OTOH, that little lever gun sure looks like fun...

They’re sort of a mashup of Bruce Lee & Jackie Chan but with lots of guns and unlimited ammo.

I'll admit before the movie, I watched a few episodes of Forged In Fire...gonna take me some time to get all the way caught up on THAT one!

Edit too, watched the Nerf John Wick. Two things, VERY well done, and from what little I know about Keanu Reeves, is he would probably get a kick out of that one, too.

If I want to watch fantasy I will opt for Sci Fi. 
 

It amazes me how many grown men want to emulate John Wick, a fictional character in a fictional dark organization getting away with fictional outlandish things. Ridiculous.

Who said I want to emulate him? I just watched the movie for some escapism, and one moment caught my fancy. The character of John Wick is a murderous assassin, who manages to get the entire underworld out to kill him, NOT something I would want to try for a weekend fun. 

Not sure why the snark, either, but whatever, after dealing with the worst human beings to walk the planet these last many years, ain't much feelin's left there, punkin'.  Actually, I kinda look like a Halloween pumpkin that someone left outside for a month after the holiday was over...

As for sci-fi, heck yes, Firefly, Star Trek, (except for that latest one), really wish someone would put Honor Harrington in a movie series that sticks to the books, but Hollywood ruins darn near everything they touch - remember the first Dune movie? Gah, that sucked.  

Hey, how about a Hammer's Slammers movie with Harrison Ford as Col Hammer?

Story line of John Wick in case you’re interested. I saw the first one, it was okay, I seen another  I think it was the 3rd one but I caught it in the middle and fell asleep. Lots of shooting, killing etc. 

 

BTW Kenau Reeves is into sport shooting and he’s pretty darn good.

Now you'll definitely need to go watch Ballerina now, she is the female John Wick but she doesn't have the bullet proof dress. LOL

John Wick even makes a cameo appearance in it.

I haven't seen the JW4 however in the first 3 the firearms don't have unlimited rounds. It was something Keanu Reeves added to the movie. If you keep count, he changes magazines quite often and after firing the correct number of rounds.

 

As for the rest. Well I watch movies strictly for their entertainment value and a brief escape from reality. I hate movies that contain political messaging whether hidden or overt.

JW4 was good and he was killed at the end. However, you evidently can't keep a good man down and I just saw this. So there maybe another movie coming out.

I believe that in reality, if an older man walked up to a 13- 14-year-old girl and told her that he could take her to someplace where she could do what she wanted to do, instead of standing up and walking off with him she would probably scream STRANGER! STRANGER!

I just enjoyed that the guy was using a Marlin. Are you saying he loaded multiple rounds in through the ejection port? I'll have to look closer. In one of the movies he does a one handed press check. Watching a different movie a girl does the one handed press check simultaneously with a gun in each hand.

I love movies and don't care about the tech faux pas.

I own and read all the Reacher books (multiple times) and enjoyed the movie series until Alan Richman opened his Marxist mouth, after which I gave his series my middle finger and walked away.

I enjoyed all the Wick series, although #4 seemed to deviate quite a bit.

Personally I don't care if a particular actor/actress is pro or anti-gun; Just as long as they keep their trap shut. However when they use their status as a celebrity to ram it down my throat.
