We have not had a revolver thread going in a while so here's my new 686 Mountain Gun. Smith is getting this series absolutely right.

And no stupid lock! ;)

Hey, did somebody say “Lock”?

Here’s my new S&W 66-8 Combat Magnum.

It likes to get dirty at the range.

So far I really like it.

Right click "copy" on the picture, go to "Reply to this thread", then right click "Paste". There will appear a black bar that asks if you want to post in text. Click the "X".

I've been posting pictures on this website for more than 20 years. I've never done it like that before.

How've you been doing it? I don't know any other way.

If there is a picture on the web, you can do it that way. You can click on that picture, click copy, come over here, put your cursor in the blank and click paste.

But that don't work if you're trying to post a picture from your computer. And normally that's where you would have a picture of your gun - on your computer.

If you go to the picture on the web, and you click on the url and copy it, then paste the url here, the picture will show up. As long as the url is a https. If it's just a http, it won't embed. When that happens I go back to the picture, right click on the picture and tell it to save to the computer.

When posting a picture from the computer, there's a thing here at the bottom of the reply box that says ADD FILES. You click on it and it lets you add a file from anywhere on your computer to here.

So that's how I've been doing it. Either a copy/paste of the url if the picture is online somewhere, or an "ad file" when the picture is on my computer.

That’s a nice one. Is that the original grip?

Here’s a photo of my very favorite revolver.

S&W model 327 Night Guard 8-shot .357 Magnum. The only gun I own that has a name. It’s called Brutus. If I tell my wife that she needs to get Brutus she knows exactly what I mean.

Gotcha. I've done "ad file" whenever it's one of my pictures, but copy and paste if on the confuser.

No, didn't care for the orginal at all.

I'm the same way. OEM S&W grips don't fit my hand at all. Old Herrett Shooting Star grips fit my hand like they were made for them.

My Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman.

An oldie but goody.

Unfortunately, we can no longer legally buy handguns in Canada anymore, following the former Prime Minister's temper tantrum.

Thieves, Drug Dealers, Home invaders, Gang-Bangers and all other miscreants are exempted from the law.

I'm not a S&W expert, nor am I a collector.  I just own a few and like them, mostly because I'm a trigger snob and shooting a Smith and Wesson in single action is a joy!  The last one that I got dirty was a nickel 27-2 (N Frame .357).  Thanks for the excuse to post a photo.  I do "Add Files" then choose my iPhone photo library, select the photo, click "add", then "insert".  Easy peasy.

My Model K-10 (1969) and Model 28 Highway Patrolman (1978). Not the greatest pics or to scale, but you get the drift!

I want to thank J-Bar who is responsible for my addiction to S&W revolvers. Sweetest triggers on the planet. 😄
