Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Does anyone make any that don't like they belong and a toy with Gene Autry's name on it or a Fanner 50 and won't cast the same a semester at a large college? I have a Uberti 1875 Outlaw that would look good wearing them, but I haven't found any that weren't just terrible. Quote
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Tombstone Gun Grips has some. I can't say how they look, but here's a link: https://www.tombstonegrips.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TGG&Category_Code=Remington Quote
J-BAR #18287 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Patrick Grashorn at Grashorn Gunworks made superb grips from elk antlers. In searching for a link, we learn that he passed away several months ago, but apparently his business will continue. I bought from Patrick; hopefully these new grips will be the same quality. I would risk it my own self. https://www.grashornsgunworks.com/ Quote
Alpo Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I think these look closer to jigged bone then they do stag. But I think they look pretty good. I don't remember where I got them though. I set these up for my daughter back in '05. 2 Quote

My son had Jay Scott mother-of-plastic "pearl" grips on his Colt Scout 22 mag. They were supposed to be "ivory" but the order got screwed up. When he joined the BSA he carved a pair of maple grips for it. Took him about three months, but they were worth it. Quote

I've never cared for stag grips, but this pistol seems to want some. It isn't something that I'll want badly enough to lose any sleep over it, but..........if I come across some. Quote
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 N.C. Ordnance has a selection. https://gungrip.com/remington1875to1890sagrips.aspx Here's a set of Stag I plucked from the interweb: And here's a set of ivory. I've recently found that I really like ivory: 1 Quote
DeaconKC Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Faux ivory can look good, I've never seen a set of faux stag I really liked. Be patient and get the good stuff, "Spend once, cry once" 1 Quote
