For your consideration, my Sig Sauer model 516. This model is now discontinued. It is a piston driven weapon, and is highly accurate.

Less than 1,000 rounds through it. .It's known for its reliability and durability, with a short-stroke gas piston system that differs from the direct impingement system of the standard AR-15. The Sig 516 features an adjustable gas regulator for different shooting conditions and ammunition types. 

Has Aimpoint PRO (patrol rifle optic) that currently retails at $479
