H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 I have seen far to many people get confused between USPS and UPS, getting them mixed up. We shouldn't, but it happens. It happens because the string of initials is very similar, and at a glace, I can understand how people can mix them up. Therefore, with my tongue firmly in my cheek, I propose the following convention as to how to refer the organizations used to ship guns. The Post Office. UPS FedEx. I don't think those terms can be mixed up. Take it with a grain of salt.
watab kid Posted July 8, 2025 Posted July 8, 2025 shipping machine parts is not really an issue i should think ,
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 Ah well, shipping "Machine Parts" without going thru an FFL can get one in very deep Doo Doo with BATFE. BATFE does NOT have a sense of humor.

And why label the package at all, all I've ever been asked is if it was breakable or is the rattle ok?
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted July 10, 2025 Posted July 10, 2025 Eyesa, You are correct. Cap and Ball hand guns can be shipped USPS without restriction. I was cautioning, Watab may be including Cartridge Firearms under "Machine Parts" which can put one in the Feds Grey Barr Hotel. With USPS you don't have state nor answer what is in the package as long as you answer "NO" the the prohibited items question asked at the desk and on the signature do-hicky.
