Highwall Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 Hello! Highwall here again (#42425). I've been out of the picture for some time. My eyes went south a long time ago so gave up competiton. And since my last log out, I have had 3 surgeries on my crippling hands due to Dupuytren's contracture, or more commonly known as Vikings disease. So I'm back just to take it all in. SASS is a special sport that takes special people and I don't want to lose that western shooter connection. I just want to participate, observe, learn, and enjoy. I might even be able to advise at some point. I hope there is room for an old codger like me in this great shooting relm. Regards, Valky

I’ve got Dupuytren’s contraction on both my little fingers. Had the needle procedure done about 3 years ago and it got so bad again this last December that it was extremely hard to put on gloves. Went back to the hand specialist in February and had the needle procedure done again on the right hand. Have the left hand scheduled for November after all my shooting travels are over for the year. watab kid Posted July 8, 2025 Posted July 8, 2025 welcome back , im not at all sure how long this forum has existed DO TELL IF YOU KNOW but ive been here for a bit and learned a lot both educationally , and in terms of humanity - not that i didnt know a lot of it before but as to the second as it applied to folks n the internet here , a much different crowd than i thought i was walking into , again not a bad thing ,,,actually good in the end , im happy your back , im happy im here , and im happy this site exists , i have three i regularly visit [daily] as they are my immediate interest -today i have a dozen i visit but those interests have gone by the wayside and im not a regular anymore [its another alias there as well ] some ive all but given up on now , thanks for coming back here , i like this site a lot
