But it's always been my understanding that if you just said "New York", you meant the town. Like if you just say "Washington", you mean the town. Having lived and worked in the area and the state, I CAN say for certain that the folks up there will quickly and adamantly inform you that “New York” is the state!! Hoodies don't cause crime, of course.....however....If I see someone with a hoodie on in Florida from the end of May until the end of September, I am wary and suspicious, especially if it's at 3 am in the morning in a residential neighborhood. Then he asked you what colors do you get when you mix blue and yellow and you say purple, and again he says WRONG! I'm pretty sure that when he asked you a third question you would have turned around and walked away.
