*SOLD*F/S USFA Pre War consecutive pair 44/40

I have a consecutive pair of USFA Pre War models in 44,40 with 5 1/2" barrels. Guns are in near new condition, lets call it 95% or better. I bought them 20 plus years ago and they were my main match guns for a year or so. These are USFA guns NOT Uberti pieces finished at USFA. I bought a business and didnt have time to shoot much and these have been sitting ever since. Have shot maybe 50 rounds apiece since then. Time for someone to enjoy them as they were meant to be enjoyed.

They will come in the box with outer protecting sleeve, all papers, cleaning brush and blue USFA bag. I have tried to price these very fair considering model and condition as I would prefer to sell to a SASS member versus that green auction site.

I havent been on here in several years or sold anything in several years here, but I am a phone or video call away. I am a moderator on a 1911 addicts site and known there and many gun sites as tas6691. PM for any questions or more pics or contact info.

Priced at $2250 each or $4100 *SOLD*for the pair shipped. Will ship to your FFL using Ship My Gun.

Pre War?

The pre-war was a designated model at USFA for quite some time. It was especially popular in the early days.

The Pre-War was meant to be an exact copy of Co;t's pre WW2 1st gen SAA. It featured Old Armory Bone Case colors and Armory Blue, the hammer was case colored on these models , the Pre-War was the top of the line.

The Standard model featured Old Armory Bone Case colors and Dome Blue, the sides of the hammer were polished.

Dome blue was a modern salt bath blue with  a deep polished black look. Armory blue was like Colt's carbona blueing that had a more blueish hue. The Pre_War was the premium grade and the Standard was...well...the standard grade.

Never heard the term.  Was a fan and have a minty USFA 38-40.  With different grips, looks pretty much the same as an excellent Colt 38-40 that makes up the pair.
