Subdeacon Joe Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 Does anyone over the age of 13 really like any of his films?
Alpo Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 I like Elf. But I like Jimmy Caan, and Temperance Brennan's little sister singing in the shower is lovely.
Cypress Sun Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 I don't. I don't like his films and don't think he's funny in the least.
Blackwater 53393 Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 Like the kid in the airplane scene in one of his latest commercials said, Ya’ know who else has no interest? ME!” I can’t stand that idiot! Nothing he’s ever done has been funny!

Rip Snorter Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 Hey, the guy made money off his persona despite obvious issues. Give him a couple of points, no you don't have to watch.

Other than the perception that anyone who had been on Saturday Night Live is automatically funny for some reason.
Cemetery Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 He's as funny as a flat tire on a dead end street.
Blackwater 53393 Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 He’s as funny as cancer!! 🤮 NOT ONE BIT FUNNY!! 🤮
Rye Miles #13621 Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 Can’t stand this dude, he’s not even the least bit funny and he’s very annoying 😡
Sedalia Dave Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 I I see he is in a film, I know it's not worth watching
Chantry Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 I don't find him remotely funny, but enough people, including other actors, find him funny enough to the point that his movies make money and major stars are willing to work with him.

Stump Water Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 No. Likewise Adam Sandler. Rather watch paint dry.

About the only thing I liked that he's been in was "Bewitched", and it was a case of I liked it even though he was in it rather than because he was in it. 3 hours ago, Stump Water said: Likewise Adam Sandler. I liked "Pixels", though again I liked it even though he was in it. I think that Ryan Reynolds would have been better.

Blackwater 53393 Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 I met her when she was still doing live radio interviews and singing the National Anthem in every major league ballpark for publicity. Her dad, Scott, is a marketing wizard! The bus company that I worked for outfitted her with one of Cher’s old buses and we had them for a few years as a client. They went elsewhere for their transportation needs for a while, but came back when she got big enough to afford her own custom bus. Scott and I remained friends until I parted ways with the company, at which time we lost contact. I’m not a fan. Her music does nothing for me, but I respect the talent and the marketing that she/they have made into a dynasty! It rivals some of the top acts in music history.

Never said she isn't good at what she does, I just don't particularly CARE for what she does. She has her "Swifty" fans, and that's great, but I'm not one of them. There are many talented people out there that make a lot of money doing what they do, and that's fine. I'll never be wealthy, (unless I win the Powerball or something), but I'll never have a problem with other people making money with their talents. Even if I don't care for what they do, or whether what they do matters to me or not.
Cypress Sun Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 First off, I don't like Taylor Swift. Don't like the hype behind the Swift machine, the fawning publicity, her politics or her music. That being said....She has become a billionaire of her own making. She also donates large sums of money to (mostly) worthy charities. She gives out large bonuses to the "little" people who do the hard work, the "roadies" if you will. I've never seen her show, but I understand that she provides a lengthy show and puts her heart into every show and puts on the appearance of caring about her audience. She writes her own music, plays multiple instruments and actually sings at her shows, no lip sync or fake stuff. She also protects her image judiciously, no wild rumors of drug abuse or sex tapes floating around. Hell, I may not like her at all, but I respect her as a musician and, grudgingly, as a seemingly decent person. Oh, and she has more talent in her little toe than Will Farrell has in his entire body.
Whitey James Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 I tend to like performers less when they become political. This says nothing about their talent. Some of them are super talented but I would not spend a dime on their work once they start trying to shove their agenda down your throat. I guess once you have earned enough money to not worry about money then you can pander to your base and piss off the other half of the country.
