Those of you who use Unique and/or Bullseye powders for 9mm cartridges,  what loads work well for you?  (Bullet weight and powder charge?)

Plinking, paper punching in a semiautomatic handgun, not for self defense or hunting...

Thanks.

I'll have to look at my files when I get home, I used both powders with 124gr powder coated cast bullets as well as factory JHP stuff. I really liked Bullseye.

Both are a wee bit hard to find nowadays...

I have plenty of each to use up playing with a new CZ 75.  I will appreciate your experience.

Well, here's a few loads I've tried in CZ pistols. :) All data provided for academic purposes only, like any academic would be caught dead in these parts...

124gr Winchester FMJ, 5.5 gr Unique, COAL 1.10, listed in notes as "good"

124gr Winchester FMJ, 4gr Bullseye, COAL 1.10, listed in notes as, and I quote, "hell yeah!"

124gr Lee cast RN, powder coated, 4.6gr Unique, COAL 1.085, listed in notes as "good!"

124gr Lee cast RN, powder coated, 4gr Bullseye, COAL 1.095, listed in notes as "SWEET!"

Hopefully that gives you a starting point?

Can you still find Blue Dot?

Heck, can you still find any Alliant powder?

Anybody besides me still wants to call it Hercules?

Try Blue Dot. Meters great, burns clean.

BD is all I use in 9mm and .40 S&W.

Thanks, I'll remember that, but I have a lot of Unique to use up before I buy any more powders.

I have never tried Unique or Bullseye in 9mm.
If you ever want some good 9mm loads in W244, Universal or VV 3N37 let me know.

Basically I am posting to bump

Unique can load just about anything.

Unique will do everything good .

But nothing really great .

It's my #1 go to smokeless powder .

#2 Universal

#3 H110

I just recently bought some

Alliant #2 & #7  to try out .

But I load APP FFF 99% of the time

Speculating here, but guessing a pistol requires a powder that provides a higher chamber pressure level to properly cycle the action.

Yes.  You want a fast burning powder.

That's what I have in my log from many, MANY, years ago.  Same worked for 115 gr. also.

When I was load testing.  I tried Unique, Bullseye, ww231, and Blue Dot.

BD easily shot better than any other powder.

I load 5.5gn of BD w/124gn FMJ using the NATO C.O.A.L.
