Wyatt Earp SASS#1628L Posted June 18 Posted June 18 (edited) By the time I got my stuff together, Sportsmans Warehouse was out of stock. They had the 30" version, but I couldn't see cutting off the barrel and losing the perfectly good choke tubes. Didn't want to do online order and pay shipping and pay an FFL transfer fee, so I waited patiently. Then, the most unlikely store in my area, Modern Warriors, (which deals in high end AR's and 1911's and such) had one, and only one, in stock. I went there and found it was still in the box, they never put it on display. now it's mine. Edited June 18 by Wyatt Earp SASS#1628L 15 3 Quote
Rip Snorter Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Very well made, attractive gun, bought one when I planned to resume SASS shooting. That ain't going to happen. Mine, at least, out of the box, no way competition ready. Stiff to break and cock hammers - sent it back to CZ, treated the return wonderfully, quick turn around, but though improved, still not ready to rock for SASS. 1 Quote

Yes, it is stiff to open, but the hammers cock with a swipe of the hand. I spect the opening will ease with extended shooting. 40 minutes ago, watab kid said: very nice , congrats , i didnt have the compunctions you did - it was an old stevens ang the chokes were of no use anyway so i cut mine off My first, and still my current BP shotgun is a Steven's 235 hammer gun. 30" full chokes that I cut to 24". H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I'd love to have a 30" F/F hammered double. (NO screw ins) It'd be a nice alternative to my hammerless Parker in the configuration. Quote
