Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) Anybody use these? Any issues with them? Will lightened revolver springs set them off? Thanks in advance --Dawg Edited June 14 by Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329 Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I’ve used them in some specialty loads for my Ruger Blackhawk that aren’t for CAS. The gun is set up light, but it’ll set off Winchester primers and it fires these reliably. I haven’t tried them in my really lightly sprung revolvers, yet! Quote
Tyrel Cody Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I haven’t used them in 3-4 years but when i did I found them to be a little harder than Federals, but maybe not as hard as Winchesters. No issues in any on our revolvers that were tuned by Boomstick. I believe @C. W. Knight # 47289L got some more recently and might give you a better idea. Quote
Three Foot Johnson Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I've used a lot of them, never a problem, but my springs are stock or toward the heavier end if lighter aftermarket replacements were installed. Quote
Go West Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I've used both large and small Magtechs and they work fine. My guns are not "Federal only", though. They occasionally hang up in the primer tube, but usually seat fine. Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I recently use a hundred, priming some cut down .454 Casull cases. They ran through my RCBS Auto-prime like corn through a goose and seated smoothly. Quote
Flinthills Dawg Posted June 15 Posted June 15 (edited) I used 5,000 spp in my jimmy spurs revolvers and all went bang. Edited June 15 by Flinthills Dawg add wording Quote
High Spade Mikey Wilson Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I've used them in the past and had no issues with them, but all my firearms have stock springs in them. Quote
