What's the good and the bad on the Dillon Super 1050? I have been loading on the Dillon 650 xl for years and have an opportunity to pickup a super 1050.

Thanks

I have one  dedicated to  smokeless which has been running for  25 years another which I purchased from Black Dawge when they closed (2007) dedicated to BP.  I was Dillon dealer in early years (even before 650) so that had lots to do with $$.  Through the years I have needed very few parts and I have to admit that I do not take care of much of my equipment excluding CAS guns.  I have added misc options thru the years  but none, including bullet feeder, that excited me to much.   Dillon has been good in small needs so certainly have no complaints.  That said, understand the big disadvantage to them now versus 650/750 is NO warranty.

Note:  My two 1050 are mounted on V pedestal.  If I had mounted The Mr Bullet feeder from ceiling I think I would have had less frustrations and better satisfaction.  Like the auto primer tube filler, complications in flow do not net faster speed in quality reloading.  KIS often is ultimate answer.

No one needs a 1050 but once you have one you won’t want to run anything else 😁

Until you buy an Apex 10, then a 1050 comes up short.  If you want a full tool head for die's, a 1050 can't do it.  Have two 1050's, with Mark 7 auto drives.  And a new Apex 10 with auto drive.  Apex 10, hands down winner.  10 station toolhead (Apex 10) vs a 5/6 toolhead (Dillon 1050).  Winner Apex 10.  Just my opinion though.
