Not really SASS related, but what is your pocket knife?

I have been carrying Kershaw Ken Onion Knives for the last several years ince the are moderately priced and made in the USA.

I just ordered a Spyderco Paramilitary 2. Will be my first Spyderco knife.

I've got three that are on my person any time I'm dressed for the day.

First is a Victorinox Tinker. I've carried a knife like this since I was a teenager.4f4d6e8c-96f8-4081-86cc-9c1787eec6f8.b7a46df159c89ddf9b575cf5d95ef4fc.jpeg

Next is an inexpensive knife from an outfit called Doom Blade, though I've seen it without those markings on it. Single blade, about 4", spring assist. Also has a seatbelt cutter and a window breaker. In addition to the one in my pocket, I have one in all my vehicles, including my Daughter's.

Finally there is a Leatherman PS 2. It's on earlier one, but it carries in my back pocket well.

Cheap Gerber folder in right pants pocket, Swiss Army and coins in left pocket.  Other stuff in a sport coat.

Folks ask why I wear a coat in summer.  I tell them it's a backpack with sleeves.

Oh yeah, I keep a Victorinox and a Leatherman in my pickup truck console so I always have access to them but I generally only carry a pocket knife day to day. If I were going hiking or camping they would be on my person for sure.

Benchmade Resistor. Don't have the CZ PCR anymore, but still have the knife, darn fine tool.

K-Bar lock blade for decades and a small cheapy on my key ring. Seems now that vehicles don't have keys, I don't generally carry a knife often anymore! When I do now, it's a cheap lock blade with pocket clip from NRA.

Emerson mini CQC 15 in right front pocket. Leatherman (not sure which model) in center console well of the Tacoma.

Currently it’s a CRKT M16, a Victorinox Explorer and the handiest knife ever devised, the Victorinox Classic SD.

I always have a Victorinox Spirit multitool nearby.

I have certainly used pocket knives a million percent more than a pistol in day to day activities.

My Grandfather was a rancher. He would ask a hire "Do you have a pocketknife?" If the prospective hire had a knife, that was a feather in the cap so to say. If the prospective hire did not have a pocketknife, my grandfather would give him one and send him off to work. The next morning, he would ask him if he still had the knife, if he didn't....he no longer had a job either.

Needless to say, my Dad carried a pocketknife, as do I. Don't like mine riding in the bottom of my pocket like my father and grandfather though, pocket clip required.

Gerber for me. Got it at a garage sale for $3.00. Flips right out, locks and holds a decent edge...not a razor edge, a decent sharp edge.

Ditto.

Currently a CRKT M16-02SS.

Leatherman-type multi-tool in every vehicle.

Note: For anyone interested in a new knife, in particular the CRKT Ihave shown above. The M16, there are a number of variations of that knife. Note the blade shape. It is a b**** to sharpen with sharpening systems that clamp the blade and a stone is run over the edge.
For those types of sharpening systems this model is much better:

I’ve got a liking for Benchmade knives ever since I broke the blade on one and they replaced the entire knife at no charge. I’ve got 10 or so different Benchmade knives but this is the one that I carry the most. Benchmade Redoubt.

PUMA Deer Hunter.

I've had it for over 65 years.

When I wore a suit, it lived in my pocket.

Weekends and now I'm retired, it's carried in a flap top holster, on my belt.

It's cleaned deer, moose, bear, ducks, geese, partridge, rabbit and fish.

Sundays, when I had counting duty at Church, it opened envelopes.

It also saved me from a mugging.

Spyderco Dragonfly.  Been carrying one for at least 20 years now.  Lost one once, figure it flipped out of my pocket in a parking lot.  Bought a new one of the same model.  Good size, plenty blade for EDC stuff (everything from opening packages to cutting hot pizza out of the microwave at work).  And the thumbhole for opening flips it open quick and easy one handed (since auto's are verbotten in CA).  A knife it takes two hands to open is fairly useless most of the time.

I also have a few Case xx knives that I don't carry except the Sodbuster Jr..

This is the same style knife my grandfather would carry in his overalls and cut a plug of his King Bee tobacco with.

Always wanted a PCR or a P-01. I ended up getting a P-07 instead. It is my current truck gun.

From top to bottom, the Victoronix I carried during decades of my high tech career, the "Sheffield" (can almost still read it) box cutter I have carried for the last 10 years, and a new Civivi which may replace it:

I have 3 Benchmade knives. A Mini Griptilian that I have misplaced. A Griptilian that stays with my bedroom gun. And a fixed blade Bone Collector hunting knife.
I carry the CRKT M16 because I misplaced my Mini Griptilian. I’m pretty sure if I do find the mini I will continue carrying an M16 knife.
I also have a CRKT M21 with Veff serrations that I called my “bike knife”. That one is the knife I carry when I am on my motorcycle.
