Alpo Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I'm watching this cop show. And as they're walking by the kitchen one cop asks if it's all right if she grabs a bottle of water. This allows her to enter the kitchen and get a close-up view of the four or five medicine bottles that are on the counter. And she opens the refrigerator door and takes out a bottle of water and goes and joins the other cop and the person of interest. And it was just the way she said that - you mind if I grab a water - like everybody in their little brother has got a bunch of bottles of water in the refrigerator. I don't. Do you? Quote
Stump Water Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) In the fridge in the laundry room, yes. We keep bottled water in the cooler when traveling*. Any leftover after the trip goes in the LR fridge. Well water at home. * If an extended trip (week at the coast) we buy a six pack of bottles for the fridge and refill them from the two-gallon jugs with a tap. Can... not... stand city water. . Rip Snorter Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Never have. Good tasting well water. I do buy 2.5 Gal containers of distilled for my Wife's Houseplants. Quote
Alpo Posted May 18 Author Posted May 18 I have a Berkey purifier. It comes out of my faucet and into my Berkey. And then I store it. But I don't buy bottled water. Quote
Cypress Sun Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Yes. Water , milk, beer, iced tea and Powerade all reside in the fridge. 1 Quote
Pat Riot Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Yes. I keep about a dozen bottles of water in the fridge as well as a couple of cases in the pantry / laundry room. I drink iced bottled water daily. Nearly a gallon. Sometimes more. Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I keep bottled water in the fridge in the shop. We don’t have running water out there, (yet) and it’s a pain to walk over to the house for filtered drinking water. We’re out of the urban services district, so there’s no sewer service and I don’t want shop stuff getting into my septic system. I keep soft drinks and water in a small fridge along with some ice and sometimes sandwiches and the like for when I don’t want to traipse into the house in dirty clothes!   We have filtered water in the kitchen that we use to make ice and for cooking and drinking. Smokin Gator SASS #29736 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 There's usually a few left over from when we have guests over. We just drink our well water. I do refill a couple of larger water bottles that I occasionally buy and keep them in the fridge. In our hot weather I have a larger double walled water bottle I fill and add ice to for the day. We were at our daughters in Chico and when I went to get water out of the kitchen faucet she came shooting across the room like it was poison. They drink filtered or bottled water. Quote
J-BAR #18287 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 One fridge in the kitchen, one in the garage. Water, soft drinks, less frequently used stuff (frozen venison, extra loaves of bread, etc) in the garage. Works fine for us. Quote
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Nope. The city water here is fine. I don't even like the taste of bottled water. You know Evian Water. Spell it backwards and it spells naive. Quote
Cypress Sun Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I use tap water (County utility) for cooking and iced tea. The tap water isn't that bad here but years in the construction trade doesn't lend to drinking tap water on job sites, unless you just really want to use the portapotty, so bottled water became the norm with me. I just continued the habit I guess. I keep it refrigerated as I don't care for warm water. When I was a kid we drank out of the garden hose without any ill effects. Quote
Creeker, SASS #43022 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Yup - a dozen or so bottles in the fridge (that vegetable crisper drawer should be used for something and Heaven knows - it ain't gonna be vegetables). Then there are another dozen or so in the freezer - dual purposed for lining the cooler when we travel and having water after they thaw. And a large Brita filter unit sits in the fridge as well - which we keep filled with tap water to fill our insulated water bottles. Quote

Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Depends on the time of year. If it isn’t in the fridge, it is in the pantry next to the fridge. Quote
watab kid Posted May 19 Posted May 19 no , our drinking water here is fine , but its hard so my wife buys bottled for thge dogs water and there is always a bunch in the closest , i only have it in my cooler when i travel for convenience , i have a few water bottles i fill to take along daily as the water in the other towns here are not as desirable and the well water at the gun club is stinky Quote
Rye Miles #13621 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Yep I do and I take a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. I try and stay hydrated. Sometimes I leave the water in my car. If it’s really hot or really cold I don’t but yes my frig always has water in it. Years ago my mom always had a big jug of water in the frig that was before plastic water bottles. Quote
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Nope. Our tap water is great. A friend who is a full time rv''er spend a couple of weeks here every year. He tests the water everywhere he goes before he hooks up to his rv. He says the water here is some of the best he's ever tested.......every year he's here. I don't drink much water (except when it's really hot and I am working outside) . I stay hydrated with coffee! Quote
John Kloehr Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Bottled water in the pantry and the vehicles. Filtered water and ice maker at the fridge door at my current valley home. Before this fridge, did keep water and ice in the fridge at my mountain cabin (nasty well water there, sulphur and iron; did add a treatment system to get rid of the color and smell but still did not like the taste). Also keep some sweet tea in the fridge. Quote
Brazos Bottom Bill Miller Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Keep five or six in the 'fridge door. Have filtered that I keep Bubba (my 60 oz jug) from the 'fridge filled up. Quote

I keep a half gallon pitcher of water and one of sweet tea plus a few cans ofV-7 and a jug each of orange juice and apple juice (for my 50-50 juice cocktail for breakfast. My spare fridge in the garage is home to coke, Dr. Pepper root beer, and 7 Up.....and sarsaparilla. Lots of sarsaparilla, I also have two cans of coffee (one with caffeine and one without) and a half dozen varieties of tea. Bottled water is a staple, too. NO ONE LEAVES MY HOUSE DEHYDRATED! NO ONE!! 1 Quote
Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L Posted May 19 Posted May 19 empty Gatorade bottles filled with tap water in the frig Quote
