Remodeling my house

Can't do a lot of the work myself these days, so I've hired some pros to do most of it.  I was buying a new lawn mower today (my thirty year old one died suddenly) and I was unloading it and figured out that I have spent about a year's worth of groceries in the last ten months on this stuff.   😲

I am rebuilding my deck. It is 23 years old and has 1st generation Trex. I talked to Trex and they were amazed it lasted so long. All I have done is hose it down when it needed it. Stuff don't last forever!!

Offer them a deal. You become their spokesperson, tell how you did minimal maintenance and it lasted 23 years with no repair or replacement. In return they rebuild your deck for free. The you tell folks you expect the new one will outlive you. 😀

yup - started remofling when we moved in and its been constant for 34 years not , ive till got a bathroom and a closet ive not touched yet , but ive made a lot of changes , replaced every single window and square inch of flooring [a couple twice now] save thiose two small places - they are on the list tho
