Perro Del Diablo Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 I had hair to my middle back I was at harley dealership for another event so decided to get an inch trimmed off. Barber shop has office inside dealership Sat down to allow Patrick to trim. I was in better mood than been I while. He finished I reached for my wallet to pay and he waived me off refusing my paying. I went home to find his inch took over a foot off. Even worse left side was 2 inch longer than right side with another chunk in middle even further up. A 3yo toddler could done better. How would you feel getting that drastic amount of damage make you feel? Seeing he is a licensed barber working for a growing business that just opend another shop. So he is really bad or -as I think it was intentional. I even told his boss had it been my decision he would be unemployed as well as unlicensed. How would you approach this.
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 I would absolutely pitched a fit. His boss needs to know that should this behaviour go unpunished that YOUR business will go elsewhere. I understand that the Barbershop is a side business for him, but if he's going to let that guy treat his customers that way, how can you trust his main business to do any better. I would probably go as far as to find out if what ever licensing agency does so for barbers in Texas has a process for making complaints on a State level.
Subdeacon Joe Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 I'd be a little beyond irked. If I wanted to be subtle I'd go back and hand him a white cane and then, within his hearing, tell his boss how nice it was of him to hire the blind as barbers. If I didn't want to be subtle, I'd go back and, within his hearing, politely read his boss the Riot Act for hiring such an incompetent and/or malicious buffoon.
Sedalia Dave Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 If someone did that to me, suffice it to say that individual wouldn't be cutting anyone's hair for quite a while.
WD Farren Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 I finally gave up on my Asian barbers. She butchered me SO bad that I'm not going back, ever. I bought a new Flowbee and gonna experiment with that.

When I was stationed in Okinawa, I LOVED getting a haircut from a local. An Oriental Barber ALWAYS gives you a 30 second massage when you're done. There was even one at a local Barber College that did so as a student.

Great haircuts for thirty-five cents. (1966-1968). Also a few doors down an old lady named Kai did baths and massages for a buck fifty. The younger guys wanted young girls to "DO" them. My wife and I both went there about once a week.
Texas Maverick Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 My dad always told me that the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut was about 2 weeks. LOL TM

LOL My dad said three days. Of course that was a "Navy" haircut. He cut hair on ship in the Navy as a side gig. 25 cents a head. So guess what kinda haircut my brother and I had growing up.

Pat Riot Posted April 16, 2025 Posted April 16, 2025 I would raise hell with whoever was in charge and with the so-called barber.
Rip Snorter Posted April 16, 2025 Posted April 16, 2025 Haven't had anything like that, but have had bad haircuts. Even at my age, it grows back. A set of clippers, and my Wife did near as good a haircut as I have had last time around.

Rooster Ron Wayne Posted April 16, 2025 Posted April 16, 2025 I would be stopping by the shop at the end of the day , Just as he was leaving work , So we could discuss it in the parking lot ! My hair would be about do for a trim just about the time he was able to go back to work . We would see how the second trim worked out that year for the both of us . So Saith The Rooster

I would do whatever I needed to do to make hiss life miserable including finding a way to have him fired and pay for his dumbassery. I wonder if you can take him to small claims court? It would save the cost of a lawyer. If he is a licensed barber I would go through the license dept, association, entity that governs his license and try to get his license revoked or suspended. I would tell the Harley dealer that his status with the BBB is about to change and raise hell with the BBB about him. If he’s not with the BBB call Harley Davidson corporate and file a complaint. Make that barber’s environment hell without getting yourself tossed in the pokey.

Include a news paper in the photos to provide positive proof of the date. I would file a civil complaint with before and after pictures. I would ensure that A**hat was so worried that he would loose sleep at night.
