My cousin is playing with family pictures in an AI editing program.  This is my paternal grandfather and grandmother, the original J-Bar and his wife Annie, on their wedding day in Decatur, Texas, in 1896.  He died 9 years before I was born, and I remember her as an old bedridden woman.  I prefer remembering them like this.  Whatever else AI does, I think this is nice.

What a wonderful gift. If only we could have a few minutes with our ancestors; what wonderful things we could learn about our families.

Well done, J-Bar... and a striking family resemblance!

That is pretty cool!

The resemblance is amazing.

My avatar is the same fellow, my alias, at an older age.  My grandfather was better looking than I am!  Not trying to mislead anyone, just being honest.

So the original picture is the beginning shot, colorized?

The beginning pose is the same as the old photo.  The AI app colorized the original black and white photo.  Cousin says the app does the coloring automatically, he doesn't control it.  The app is "Live Photo."
