Hud McCoy Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 My good pard and a good pard to everyone that ever-met Shadow Carson passed after a long battle with cancer. Shadow was an amazing cowboy, at a young age he lost his right arm in an industrial accident, but this never slowed him down one bit. Shadow shot over 100 plus clean matches before hanging it up because of his left hand becoming too difficult to shoot and handle guns. But Shadow may have had to hang up his SASS guns, but he found a new passion for all of his cowboy attire and guns and joined a local cowboy reenacting group that robs the local tourist train in the New Freedom, PA area and he and his lovely wife Beth greatly participated in these events. Shadow leaves behind many pards who's hearts are aching and there's a void left that will not be filled in our lifetime. Shadow, may the good Lord pay you in kind for the great life and example that you shared with others. See you the next great trail. Hud
Chuckaroo #13080 Regulator Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Shadow was one of the first Cowboy Action Shooters I met when watching my first ever cowboy match. Instantly he was telling me all about the sport and how much fun it was. Of course he was right! An amazing shooter in his own right, but one arm never slowed him down when hanging steel and setting up props. His personality was magnetic. Shadow was kind to everyone and it showed. To say he will be missed is an understatement. I know he is already planning a match when will met again. Ride safely my friend. Prayer to Beth, his family and many friends. Chuckaroo

Black Hills Barb Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Shadow was one amazing cowboy! How he could handle his firearms with only one arm amazed me every time I watched him shoot. On top of that, he seemed to always shoot clean! RIP Shadow.
Blackwater 53393 Posted April 5, 2025 Posted April 5, 2025 Prayers for his family and friends for peace and comfort! Good men can’t be replaced! We just hope another steps into his spot and carries on his legacy!!
