Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted March 31 Posted March 31 LEGOLAND, CA — Representatives from LEGO gathered at Legoland in San Diego to unveil a new series of building sets called ‘California Home' that requires kids to fill out building permits and wait two years before starting construction. "We are thrilled to announce the new ‘California Home' edition of our popular Lego building sets," Lego representative Nancy Snyder said while speaking to a group of Legoland attendees. "Kids will love applying for permits, getting denied, waiting two years, doing environmental studies, and then hoping their approved permits don't need any amending before then can get to work on construction of the sets. 1 10 Quote
El Sobrante Kid Posted April 1 Posted April 1 You forgot to add that they will have to spend all of their allowance on the permits... at least twice. From a CA escapee. 2 2 1 Quote
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) And don't forget... california has mandated solar on all new homes since 2020. AND approved reducing the rate electric companies have to pay homeowners for power generated by those installations. AND is also considering allowing the electric companies to actually charge those homeowners a fee for essentially generating their own electricity. Doc Shapiro Posted April 1 Posted April 1 This is all so true. So glad we've completed all our business with that state, including a monumental final tax bill. 1 2 Quote

Pat Riot Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I used to sing this chant while sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on hot days with my windows down whilvi was listening to the news. “Hey, Hey, Californiyay Who ya (bleep) in the state today? Whoya gonna screw so they have to pay? Whoya gonna give their money today?…” The song goes on from there for many versus with lots of rhyming foul language. A few times I actually had a sing-along going with other motorists singing the chorus, which is in bold above. Got lots of white boy gang sign too. I responded in kind, smiling like this guy. I actually forgot about that song… 1 Quote
