It's already too late.  Butt.  Anybody have experience/results with MagTech SPP??  Brownells have a "flash" sale going today for fifty Bucks a Brick and before I thought about it, I ordered TWO.  I have personally never used anything but Federal or Winchester.  Hope I didn't screwup.

thanks in advance

Some years ago I bought most of a brick of the MagTech SPP at a yard sale. In my “practice” Ruger Vaquero’s, which are a little less slick than my main match guns, I had no FTF and using my normal load of powder (subjectively) couldn’t tell the difference.
Since I have plenty of Federals I didn’t use the MagTech in a match, but if needed I think they would be fine, at least in the pistols.

In my experience they seem to fall in between federal and Winchester. I missed out on the sale for the large pistol or I would have picked up a few more bricks.

500 rounds so far. All went bang. My rifle runs Federal, but doesn't like Win. The MagTech run great.

They’ve worked great for me!

I know you use Kirst Konversion cylinders in some of your revolvers and I’ve ran CCI, MagTech, S&B, Winchester and Federal primers in my Cowboy .45 Special loads for ROA’s with the Kirst cylinders and never had a fail to fire. I run them in my Pedersoli Lightnings also with no fail to fires.

I have run 5,000 thru my Jimmy Spurs revolvers with no issues!

Brownells still has the MagTech SPP primers for $49.99 and today, Monday 3/24 sent out an email to include no HAZMAT fee on primers and powder.

I ordered some for testing and will try to report back on my results.

What other matches in the southeast are in your itinerary??

It was good to see you at Dry Gulch Saturday.  I didn't know you had not shot, so when I read the scores, I emailed N. A. about your score.  I had thought that you were just on the other posse.

Thanks for coming out to support the new club.

I finally got a chance to load up some Magtech and Winchester small pistol primers to try out. I shot 100 of each yesterday with no failures to fire. I shot them in my Shotgun Boogie short-stroked Bisley Vaqueros and an 1873 rifle set up by Reno Mustang. I don't plan to shoot matches with them but will use them for practice and save my Federals for matches.
