Just got back from Tejas Caballeros Whoopin match and if you didn’t go you sure missed a great time. Awesome stages very well run, great written scenarios with good targets,. well placed for a fast challenging match! The food was excellent both days as was the banquet Saturday night. I got to finally meet a few pards from here on the wire so that was also a great part of it too, All in all Dragon Hill Dave and the gang  did an outstanding job and should be proud of their efforts. You can bet I will be back next year!!

Good to meet you Jack and some other travelers.  I had a great time despite some challenges.  On the first main match day I managed to drop the wedge to a conversion and of course it went through the crack in the floor boards.   It was a couple feet from the front of the stage but would have had to call a downrange to try to get it.  Revenant Roy, God bless him, said no I'll get it and crawls underneath the stage from the side for about 15' on his stomach to retrieve it!

The match theme was Open Range and scenarios and starting lines reflected that (by Dragon Hill Dave).  My favorite was the saloon, starting with shotgun in hands, firing one shot at the wooden sign in the center that says No Vagrants or Varmints, then the starting line "We'll have our drinks now". :)

Congrats to overall winners Sandy Beach and Totes Magoats!

Pleasure to meet you Jack!

yes, nice match. Was a little windy Saturday, but Sunday was nigh onto perfect Texas spring day.

Thanks to the Cabs for putting on a nice match. I never shoot there that I don’t think of 2 fine folks who were very active in building that range.
RIP Barb Steel & Jim No Horse.

And congrats to my Pard Totes Magoats on the overall win.
